Don Kirby Photography Project Description

Don Kirby approached our Santa Fe web design company years ago, initially to do updates as needed. So Jacobito had a great rapport with Don moving into building a new website for his art photography business. He gave us hints on what he wanted to see with the design, in terms of it being contemporary and minimalistic. And off and away we went. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the finished product!

Web Design Highlight

We needed to have an attention-getting home page that functioned well, leading visitors to multiple areas of the website. This homepage was to work as a featured image portfolio, but didn’t give too much, leading visitors to the Gallery Index where they could browse and hopefully purchase photos. We are proud to say that like a lot of website out there this page has a very low bounce rate, so we can say we have achieved that as a major goal.

On a side note, Jacobito also did the same structural theme for Don’s wife and were able to complete her project at a lower cost because the structure was already there to move through development by trading out content already created during Don’s project. You can visit it at joangentry.com

Their Kind Words

“The new website evolved from the initial idea of adding direct sales capability through PayPay, to add new galleries as our work expanded, and finally, we decided to develop completely new sites.  Jake Benton with Jacobito Design, a Santa Fe web design company, oversaw the debates, resolved the conflicts, and completed the design.  Hopefully, he will stick with us as we continue to add new ideas and respond to our viewers, which is what it’s all about anyway.”
