Jacobito Design loves to help our clients reach their full internet marketing potential. And if this includes having a shopping cart that sells to an ideal market, we’re that much more enthusiastic. In this post, we’ll share our preference and explain why our Santa Fe internet marketing company prefers this platform over other nonflexible platforms.

Jacobito’s E-commerce Preference

Our Santa Fe internet marketing company has worked with multiple e-commerce systems over the years. During that time we have landed on a preference that overall agrees with our design principles. Of which include flexibility, customization, and cost-effectiveness. For these reasons, time and time again we typically end up suggesting WooCommerce to our potential clients.

What is WooCommerce

WooCommerce is a free e-commerce plugin to the open source website platform WordPress. It functions as a seamless shopping cart system that can be scaled to the client’s needs. Because it is a plugin to WordPress, it can be hosted just about anywhere; so clients aren’t locked into systems where if they aren’t happy with the function or performance, they won’t lose there content to that inflexible system.

WooCommerce as a Flexible Solution

Simply put, WooCommerce is flexible enough to work as a large e-commerce system that handles multiple orders per hour. Or, out of the box, can be set up to handle a few orders per quarter where for example, gift-cards are purchased through a client’s Paypal account.

Customizing WooCommerce

Out of the box, along with initial setup, WooCommerce if fairly handsome, and works in a slimmed down capacity. But when it’s customized to match the look and feel of a website, this is where it shines. WooCommerce is also scalable, so if a client needs a much more robust system than what comes out of the box, plugins can be added to meet every client’s needs. This can range from just having a shopping cart that collects items to be quoted – much like a catalog, to a system where wholesale quantities can be purchased ad nauseam.

How Cost-Effective is WooCommerce?

WooCommerce is very cost-effective. Out of the box, it can be set up to function without an SSL certificate, however, this is not recommended. Beyond that, plugins can be easily added with modest effort to scale into the system, making it the most flexible system Jacobito Design had found to date. Whereas with other systems addons will typically cost you more in terms of a recurring subscription, where the overall price is compounded.

Conclusion

Jacobito Design likes to think of itself as a Santa Fe web agency that is flexible, yet cost-effective. We do this by adhering to principles of efficiency. This makes us a more competitive internet marketing company. By experimenting with different e-commerce solutions, we have seen what is out there, and what is the most flexible solution to offer our clients. That is why we prefer WooCommerce over all other e-commerce solutions on the market.
